Buffalo Bills head coach Chan Gailey told BuffaloBills.com that Fred Jackson was ahead of schedule on his rehab from a Week 1 knee injury. According to Gailey, Jackson was targeting Week 5 for his return, but there is a chance he could make it back for Week 4 against the New England Patriots.
Fred Jackson Rehab Progress May Not Boost Fantasy Value
Bills head coach Chan Gailey indicated that Fred Jackson is ahead of schedule in his rehab, and could return by Week 4. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: While it is great to hear that Jackson might be ahead of the curve on his rehab, the bigger concern for fantasy owners is that C.J. Spiller might be taking Jackson's job as we speak. Spiller has looked incredibly strong in relief of Jackson. Some coaches will not let a player lose his job because of injury, but when the backup is playing so well, a Wally Pipp situation is sure to develop. You should not release Jackson yet, but do not expect a full return from him at this point.
