Editor’s Update: As expected, Matthew Stafford did not practice on Wednesday.
Matthew Stafford Reportedly Dealing With Hip Injury: Fantasy Implications
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is reportedly dealing with a hip injury and did not practice on Wedneseday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is dealing with a hip injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Stafford had an MRI earlier this week but coach Jim Schwartz said he would not make a decision on Stafford's status for Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings until Friday. Schefter does not expect Stafford to practice Wednesday or Thursday. Stafford left last week's loss to Tennessee in the fourth quarter and was replaced by Shaun Hill.
Fantasy Impact: Stafford has a reputation for being tough so fantasy owners should expect him to try and play on Sunday even if he misses some practices earlier in the week. He is one of the better options in fantasy football, though his numbers haven’t been as stellar as they were in 2011. Monitor injury reports as the Lions get closer to Sunday.
