San Francisco 49ers running back Brandon Jacobs (knee) and wide receiver/returner Ted Ginn, Jr. both returned to practice on Wednesday. Their status for Sunday's game against the Jets is still questionable, but this gives hope that either or both may make their season debut this week. Kendall Hunter has assumed primary backup duties to Frank Gore and Kyle Williams has taken punt returns in their absence.
Ted Ginn Jr, Brandon Jacobs practice, fantasy status still low
Brandon Jacobs and Ted Ginn Jr have missed the whole season so far, but returned to practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: Neither Jacobs nor Ginn have fantasy value in the foreseeable future, unless we’re talking about extenuating circumstances. Specifically, Ginn has some value in a league that counts return yards but he hasn’t topped 500 yards receiving in a season since 2008 and has never caught more than two touchdowns in a season. Jacobs only effects the fantasy owners that own Gore (who is averaging 5.9 yards per carry and not slowing down) if he steals some goal line touches but that is starting to seem less likely. Their return shouldn’t be that noticeable in the interim.
