Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton practiced on Wednesday, albeit on a limited basis. Skelton was named the starter over Kevin Kolb headed into the season but injured his ankle late in their week 1 game against the Seattle Seahawks. Kolb took over and led the Cardinals to a 20-16 win and has played exceptionally well in Arizona's 3-0 start, completing 64.4% of his passes with 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. Even if Skelton returns this week, it will be in a backup role.
John Skelton a limited participant in practice, an unavailable play in fantasy
John Skelton is working his way back from an ankle injury, but has lost the starting job for now. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: While Skelton is inconsequential now in fantasy, Kolb is an interesting name to follow. This is what he was supposed to do when Arizona traded away a player and draft picks for Kolb and gave him a large contract but he eventually lost the job to Skelton. Now Kolb has a QB rating of 108.6 and leading the Cardinals to a 3-0 record with a reasonable easy upcoming schedule, starting with the Dolphins. He's worth a backup job in most fantasy formats.
