Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson could have taken on more carries in last week's win over the San Francisco 49ers, coach Leslie Frazier said. Peterson ran the ball 25 times for 86 yards in the win and Frazier said (via The Pioneer Press) that Peterson could have had additional opportunities, but the team instead gave Toby Gerhart carries late in the game to rest Peterson. Gerhart fumbled three times in eight carries. Frazier said the team does not have a set number of carries for Peterson.
Adrian Peterson could see heavier workload for Vikings in Week 4: fantasy implications
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson may see a heavier workload in Week 4 after carrying the ball 25 times in the win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Fantasy Impact: Seeing Peterson's workload increase would not be a surprise, especially after Gerhart's fumbles. Peterson said that the workload last Sunday helped him get back to normal. He is again a No. 1 fantasy option at running back this week against the Detroit Lions.
