Ryan Mathews made his return to practice in San Diego on Monday. It is unclear if he is ready to resume taking physical contact, but the Chargers are happy to have their No. 1 runner back to work.
Ryan Mathews Keeps Fantasy Owners Happy With Return To Practice
Ryan Mathews is back at practice for the Chargers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: When Mathews broke his collar bone back in the first week of preseason, his initial prognosis declared he would be out for 4-6 weeks. Week 1 of the regular season would put him right at four weeks of recovery. The ongoing details of Mathews comeback has been extremely positive, as several analysts say the third-year running back is ahead of schedule. Mathews has refused to take it easy, keeping in shape on the sidelines while he’s been out. The regular season opener may be a stretch for him, but right now it at least looks like he will be playing sooner than later.
