After months of waiting, hundreds of mocks and hours upon hours of preparation, it's finally here! Your teams are drafted, your beer is chilling in the fridge and we're just awaiting the Giants and the Cowboys to kick off Week 1 of the 2012 NFL Season.

For months we have been looking at wide receivers and calling them sleepers: Brandon LaFell, Darrius Heyward-Bey, Eric Decker. And, now is the time to see if their awakening is upon us.

Week 1 is a tricky one with a Wednesday night game and two Monday night games. Below are some important injury notes to keep an eye on:

  • Hakeem Nicks (NYG) -- He is questionable as he's recovering from his broken foot. Luckily for Nicks owners, he plays on Wednesday, so you'll have plenty of time to shuffle your lineup in case he is a late scratch. I am guessing he'll play in this very important showdown with Dallas
  • Dez Bryant (DAL) -- Another possible injury concern on opening night is Dez. His knee seems to be healthy enough for him to play on Wednesday. He has been a full participant in workouts this week, but keep an eye on the scratches.
  • Miles Austin (DAL) -- Are any wide receivers healthy in this game?? Miles and Dez are both listed as probable, but keep an eye on them before game time.
  • Kenny Britt (TEN) -- He is OUT in Week 1, serving his one-game suspension, so find an alternative. I have given Nate Washington and Kendall Wright a boost because of Britt's absence.
  • Steve Smith (CAR) -- Steve Smith "South" has been out for two weeks fighting a foot infection. He did return to practice on Sunday, but keep a close eye on him on Sunday's injury reports.
  • Andre Johnson (HOU) - This guy is a walking injury report, but he appears to be OK from an "awkward fall" in a recent preseason game. Be sure he's on your radar on Sunday.
  • Denarius Moore (OAK) -- He has been battling a sore hamstring since the beginning of camp. Word is that he will play, but as the second Monday night game, it's not worth the risk. Just lay off on him this week and see how it goes.
  • Jacoby Ford (OAK) -- Another Raider wide out who is most likely questionable for Monday is Ford. I would heed the same advice as for Denarius Moore: sit him and find an alternative.
