The Denver Broncos has promoted RB Knowshon Moreno to No. 2 on their depth chart behind Willis McGahee, according to Andrew Mason of CBS Sports. Moreno won the primary backup job due to a better preseason than Lance Ball and better blocking skills than rookie Ronnie Hillman.

Fantasy Impact: The former first-round pick appears to be fully recovered from the ACL tear he suffered back in November and ran well in the preseason. McGahee is still the workhorse back in Denver, but he’s also 30 years old with a long injury history, so Moreno is useful as a handcuff. Ball’s role will be minimal, and Hillman should only be of interest to keeper players.
