Running back Brandon Jacobs and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. both sat out San Francisco 49ers practice Friday, Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports. Jacobs is still recovering from a knee sprain suffered early in preseason. Ginn injured his ankle during the Niners' third preseason game against the Denver Broncos.

Analysis: With the season opener against the Green Bay Packers just two days away, you should begin preparing your fantasy lineup now as if both players will be out. Not that either should be consider viable options in standard leagues. Jacobs' absence would mean a few more carries for Kendall Hunter, who is already entrenched as the Frank Gore's backup. Look for Kyle Williams to take over punt return duties in place of Ginn.
