Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson took part in team practice again on Friday, according to Tim Twentyman of the official website. Johnson is dealing with a knee injury and was listed as a limited participant on Thursday. It seems likely he’ll be listed as limited again Friday, as Twentyman says Johnson “did a little more” than he did on Thursday.
Calvin Johnson limited again Friday, fantasy owners should wait and see for Week 6
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was limited in practice on Friday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Johnson missed the team’s Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers after struggling in pre-game workouts. The Lions suffered for it big time, as they were already missing Nate Burleson. The usually potent passing attack was unable to get anything done against a bad Green Bay secondary. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew led he game in receiving yards.
In Week 6, the Lions will will have to take on the Cleveland Browns without their top two receivers once again. Cleveland has a tough defense as well, so it would be a significant loss.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson will probably go down as a game-time decision once again this week, but it does seem a little more likely he plays than it did last week. Fantasy owners with a deep team might want to just go with someone else, but if you have a lot riding on Johnson -- which seems likely given he’s the best receiver in the NFL -- waiting until further word potentially comes on Saturday might be the best option.
