McFadden practiced all week in a limited fashion. Rashad Jennings took over for him in Week 4 and started in his place in Week 5. Jennings looked good in both outings and should get some playing time on Sunday even if McFadden plays.
However, McFadden will be a game-time decision, and there have been conflicting reports regarding his likelihood to play. McFadden has dealt with hamstring issues before, so it makes sense that the team would want to play it safe. Still, having practiced all week, it could really go either way.
Fantasy Impact: McFadden has been a let down for fantasy owners this season, but he remains the No. 1 back on many teams. He’s the kind of player who can turn it around at any time, so if he’s likely to play, he should be started. However, his status could not be more unclear, so if there is another option -- such as Jennings -- that player might be a smarter play this week.
