New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes is officially ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Santonio Holmes injury update: Ruled out, fantasy owners should look elsewhere
Santonio Holmes will miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Holmes did not practice all week and will be missing his second straight game with a hamstring injury. He suffered the injury in the Week 4 loss to the Tennessee Titans and hasn't practiced since. There is no timetable for his return and he could be out for at least a month with the lingering hamstring injury. Holmes has been a fantasy dud this season, recording just 10 catches for 243 yards and a touchdown in four games.
Fantasy impact: Owners in 10- and 12-team leagues should think about dropping Holmes. He's notoriously slow to recover from injury and isn't producing enough to justify a roster spot outside the deepest of leagues. Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley will be the starting wideouts for New York this week. They are boom-or-bust WR4 options against the Steelers defense.
