Kyle Rudolph has season-best game for Vikings, fantasy owners
The tight end had a touchdown and almost 100 yards Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph had a big game Sunday, catching nine of his 11 targets for 97 targets. Rudolph added a 23-yard touchdown for the team's only score as the Vikings fell to the Carolina Panthers 35-10.
The touchdown was Rudolph's second of the season, to go with one against the Chicago Bears in Week 2. He nearly doubled his season yardage total Sunday, with his 97 yards bringing him to 200 for 2013.
Fantasy impact: These are the types of games fantasy owners knew they would be getting out of Rudolph when they drafted him; unfortunately, so are games like Week 4’s two-catch, six-yard effort. Rudolph had nine scores a year ago, but had three different catchless games, and four others with less than 30 yards.
A fantasy team that needs reliable tight-end production can’t justify burning a starting spot on Rudolph, as he’s as likely to score 12 fantasy points as zero. On the other hand, a team with reliable players at other positions that needs a lottery ticket at a position might want to look at Rudolph, as he’ll have those big games three or four times over the course of the year. You just won’t know when.
