Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon had a productive day against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but it would have been much better. The No. 1 wideout caught six passes for 69 yards with no touchdowns and a long of 25 yards..
Pierre Garcon continues decent fantasy campaign against Cowboys
Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon had six receptions for 69 yards on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The reason it could have been better: he was targeted a whopping 15 times. Three other players were targeted six times: tight end Jordan Reed, running back Roy Helu and fellow reciever Leonard Hankerson. But Garcon's 15 targets were far and away the highest of the game.
Quarterback Robert Griffin III managed to complete just 19 of 39 pass attempts, less than 50 percent, so that has to be a factor. He also had no touchdowns and an interception, so it goes to show you what Garcon was working with. It was a so-so day in fantasy and pretty much confirms Garcon’s spot as a third receiver option for most fantasy owners.
Fantasy Impact: Garcon continues to show flashes of a receiver who could put up serious numbers if given the opportunity. He hasn’t necessarily had that opportunity yet, despite 15 passes thrown his way. Griffin hasn’t been throwing the prettiest of passes lately, so Garcon can definitely not be faulted entirely for his lack fo receptions.
About 70 yards with the potential for a touchdown seems like a safe bet week-in and week-out going forward for Garcon, though the Redskins offense always has the potential to put up hge numbers in the right situation.
