Cecil Shorts ‘can’t sleep’ because of pain; don’t count on him in fantasy
The wide receiver is dealing with an SC joint sprain and will almost certainly miss Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III is dealing with his strained shoulder joint, but still needs help getting his jersey off and the pain is affecting his sleep, according to Jaguars beat writer Hays Carlyon. Shorts was injured early in the team's 35-19 loss to the Broncos Sunday.
On the season, the receiver has 31 catches for 411 yards and a touchdown. The team's other primary receiver, Justin Blackmon, has 19 catches for 326 yards and a score in two games, after missing the first four weeks on suspension.
Fantasy impact: It's hard to envision a scenario in which Shorts plays Sunday against the Chargers, if he still needs help with his jersey as of Thursday. It seems likely he'll miss at least one game with the injury.
In his stead, Blackmon had a huge game Sunday, targeted 20 times and going for 190 yards against Denver. As the only real receiving option for Jacksonville, there is reason to think Blackmon’s strong production will continue. He’s a must-start with Shorts out.
