Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts will be a game-time decision for the team's Week 7 matchup versus the Chargers, according to John Oehser of Jaguars.com.
Cecil Shorts expected to be a game-time decision, fantasy owners need to explore backup plans
The Jaguars will likely be without their leading receiver versus the Chargers on Sunday, as he recovers from a clavicle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts has yet to practice this week, as he continues to nurse his sprained clavicle back to health after exiting early during last week's game versus the Broncos. Shorts has reportedly needed help getting his jersey on and off, and has difficulty sleeping due to the amount of pain the injury is causing him.
Fantasy Spin: Nothing about Shorts’ injury seems promising regarding his status for Sunday. No practicing, plus the amount of pain he is in, as well as the fact that the Jaguars are in no hurry to rush a vital player back while sitting at 0-6, doesn’t bode well.
Shorts is currently third in the NFL with 63 targets despite his recent abbreviated game, but it doesn't look likely that fantasy owners will watch him add to that total this week. Should Shorts suit up, he would be a risky flex play at best despite a favorable matchup versus a porous Chargers secondary. As a result, expect his counterpart Justin Blackmon to be a target monster once again.
