New York Jets wide receivers Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and Stephen Hill (concussion) are both expected to be sidelined for the team's Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. As a result of both players being sidelined, the Jets have signed former Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson to a contract.
Santonio Holmes and Stephen Hill out, David Nelson, Clyde Gates and Jeremy Kerley in for fantasy owners
The Jets wide receivers expected to miss the team’s Week 5 game against the Falcons. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: The two Jets receivers combined for just one catch on a total of six targets in the Jets 38-13 loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Although in deeper leagues Holmes might be considered worthy of a spot on a fantasy roster, neither he nor Hill are generally counted on as starters in the world of fake football. Under head coach Rex Ryan, the Jets have run a conservative offense, relying more on the running game and not turning the ball over through the air.
David Nelson is a receiver with sure hands who is big and can work the middle of the field. While the team is not sure when Hill will return from his concussion, all signs point to Holmes being out for at least the next couple of weeks.
In week five, the Jets face a Falcons team that gives up the seventh most fantasy points to receivers. That means Jeremy Kerley and Clyde Gates may be worth an addition to fantasy lineups right now.
