Fantasy football projections, Week 7: Bengals vs. Lions featuring A.J. Green, Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford
We break down the Week 7 matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions.

Cincinnati Bengals
After averaging less than 50 receiving yards per game from weeks two to five, A.J. Green finally looked to be in top form in the team's Week 27-24 Week 6 win over the Buffalo Bills. The third-year star caught six passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, which came on an 18-yard pass from quarterback Andy Dalton in the first quarter of the game, giving the Bengals an early lead.
Green, Dalton and the rest of the Bengals will have the benefit of not having to do everything themselves through the air, now that rookie running back Gio Bernard has established himself as a consistent pass catcher out of the backfield. Though Bernard only rushed for 28 on 15 carries, he added six catches for 72 yards and a touchdown against the Bills.
Detroit Lions
Wide receiver Calvin Johnson made his return from injury against the Cleveland Browns in Week 6 after missing the team's Week 5 game against the division rival Green Bay Packers. Last week, Johnson only managed three catches for a mere 25 yards receiving. There is no doubt the lines were itching to have him in the lineup considering all of the injuries they've experienced this year within the receiving corps and fantasy owners can only hope that Johnson will be at full strength again this week. The Bengals only rank in the middle of the pack in terms of giving up fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
Johnson's effectiveness of course will be tied in part the quarterback Matthew Stafford, who in the past has had no trouble at all finding his star receiver. Stafford put together a stellar effort against the Browns last week, leading a come-from-behind win by throwing four touchdown passes in the game. Stafford's performance marks the first time this season that he's thrown for more than two scores in a contest. Fantasy owners will be hoping that he can do it again, especially with his favorite target being another week removed from injury.
