Fantasy football projections, Week 7: Panthers vs. Rams featuring Cam Newton, Sam Bradford and Zac Stacy
We break down the Week 7 matchup between the Carolina Panthers and the St. Louis Rams.

Carolina Panthers
Quarterback Cam Newton managed to put together quite a bounce back performance in a Week 6 win over the Minnesota Vikings, one week after being picked apart by the Arizona Cardinals. Against the Vikings, Newton threw three touchdown passes and also rushed for his second touchdown of the season. The 242 passing yards Newton posted in the contest is his second highest total of the year and his 9.3 yards per attempt is a season-high. Wide receiver Brandon LaFell was the biggest beneficiary of Newton's big day, as LaFell notched a career-high 107 yards receiving in the game to go with his third touchdown of the season.
The St. Louis Rams might be just what the doctor ordered for running back DeAngelo Williams. Williams is averaging a steady 4.3 yards per carry this season which is on par with what he did last year. He will have a good chance to have his second 100-yard rushing game of the season in Week 7 against a Rams team that gives up a time of yardage along the ground to any team with a remotely good running game.
St. Louis Rams
With the help of sloppy play at the quarterback position from the Houston Texans, the Rams were able to walk into Reliant Stadium and walk out with a victory in Week 6. Quarterback Sam Bradford only needed a career low 16 pass attempts to get by the Texans. Although he didn't have to throw a lot he still managed to post three touchdown passes in the game, good enough for one of the most efficient fantasy efforts from a quarterback in recent history. Bradford probably won't find himself in the same situation against the Carolina Panthers, who not only boast a good defense but also have quarterback Cam Newton running the show. Although Newton has been inconsistent this year, he is no Matt Schaub.
The good news for the Rams though is that they may have finally found a running back who can actually move the chains. Zac Stacy was third on the team's depth chart behind Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead coming into the season. However, after a few weeks of both running backs proving ineffective, coach Jeff Fisher had no choice but to give Stacy the ball. In his first two games as the team's starter, Stacy is averaging five yards per carry. Although he's not yet a fantasy stud by any means, he's definitely one of the hotter waiver wire pickups right now
