That is to say, White suffered the high ankle sprain in the preseason and played through the injury throughout the first five weeks of the season. He served as a decoy in those games, but it did not allow his ankle to heal. Then, in Week 5, he injured his hamstring.
The team had a bye week for Week 6, so there was hope that White might be able to heal up, and be ready, but it's not going to happen. Atlanta is hurting big time at the wide receiver position, with Julio Jones out for the season.
Fantasy Impact: White has not been a productive wide receiver all season. We’ve come close to recommending that fantasy owners simply release him at this point. That said, there’s a chance that he could be ready to make a difference late in the season. It doesn’t seem likely, but it could happen.
