The San Francisco 49ers are set to take on the Tennessee Titans as they hope to gain ground on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, while the Titans are trying to get above .500, possibly without their starting quarterback. Jake Locker is still recovering from an injury and may not be able to play, while Ryan Fitzpatrick has lost his last two starts.
Fantasy football projections, Week 7: 49ers vs. Titans features Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis
Colin Kaepernick and Frank Gore are both solid fantasy options against the Tennessee Titans in Week 7.

Both teams have some solid fantasy football options, but the 49ers have the edge in this area. With some help from numberFire, we’ll take a look at how some of said players are expected to perform. We’ll start with the road team, San Francisco:
49ers
Colin Kaepernick has had an up-and-down season thus far and hasn't been the fantasy juggernaut many had hoped, but he's been improving. Kaepernick is projected to earn more than 17 points in fantasy this week against a struggling Titans defense. If tight end Vernon Davis has another big game, Kaepernick could definitely put up some impressive numbers.
Alternatively, if teams react to Davis' Week 6 performance and hit him with double coverage, Kaepernick could pick up some solid rushing yards, always a nice bonus for a quarterback. Davis is projected to earn a modest 8.69 fantasy points this week, do to the inconsistent numbers he's had on a week-to-week basis. Lastly, running back Frank Gore seems a good play, as he's projected to earn over 10 points for this one.
Titans
The options for the Titans are somewhat less appealing. Ryan Fitzpatrick seems the likely starter at quarterback, and he’s only projected to earn 12.08 points -- the highest of any Titans player. Running back Chris Johnson comes in at just below 10 points, thanks to San Francisco’s tough defense.
Fitzpatrick and Johnson simply have not been a potent combination. When Locker returns, the Titans will be more attractive from a fantasy perspective. As it stands, kicker Rob Bironas is the No. 3 fantasy option on the team, projected at just above eight points. A receiver finally makes the list in Nate Washington, who is projected to have less than 50 yards receiving.
