Fantasy football projections, Week 7: Texans vs. Chiefs features Jamaal Charles as the top name

The Houston Texans will take on the Kansas City Chiefs, in a game that features teams trending in very opposite directions. Before the season started, there wasn't a single Texans fan who marked the Chiefs game as a potential loss when examining the schedule, while Chiefs fans may have resigned themselves to their fate of losing to a "better" team.

For the Chiefs, the top option is running back Jamaal Charles. This will be the case every week unless he happens to be injured ... which does happen a lot, granted. That said, he's healthy right now and is projected to put up 18.49 fantasy points. They project almost 90 rushing yards and over 40 receiving yards, with a high chance of a touchdown.

Quarterback Alex Smith is not the kind of quarterback to put up big yardage. But against a bad defense, he can certainly shine. The Texans have struggled of late, and Smith is projected at 16.69 points, a respectable game for him at this point. Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe comes in at 7.47 points, below kicker Ryan Succop.

Houston is just a mess right now. Quarterback Case Keenum is the guy right now, and he's projected to throw for under 200 yards, with a decent chance for a touchdown but also a high chance to throw an interception. Texans running back Arian Foster is the highest-ranked, and is projected at 14.80 fantasy points. He's struggled off and on this season, as well.

Wide receiver Andre Johnson is among the best in the league, but he's projected to earn just 9.50 points, as a product of the poor quarterback play he's experienced thus far and will likely experience going forward. Kicker Randy Bullock comes in fourth at 6.40 projected points.
