Jackie Battle injury update: Desperate fantasy owners might want to look elsewhere

Titans running back Jackie Battle is listed as probable to face the 49ers on Sunday. He didn't miss any practice with his neck injury.

Shonn Green is back in the lineup for the Titans, so there's very little to be encouraged about Battle. He's had his bright spots in his career with the Chargers and Chiefs, but he really hasn't made much of an impact this year with the Titans.

Fantasy impact: Not only is he third on the depth chart, he has a bad matchup against the 49ers. Unless things get really ugly and Battle gets some garbage time, he is more than likely useless. Plus, he can't catch passes out of the backfield, so he won't help in that regard. In other words, fantasy owners might have more fun playing Battle Mode on Mario Kart 64 than getting some production out of JB this week. He can be cut loose in even 30-team leagues.
