The San Francisco 49ers will take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 7. It's going to be an interesting matchup, made more interesting by the report that quarterback Jake Locker will be the starter for the Titans. Locker is dealing with hip/knee injuries and was expected to miss much more time. Ryan Fitzpatrick has been particularly bad as his replacement. Either way, there are some solid options in fantasy -- and the exact opposite as well -- so let's get to your sit/start advice.
Fantasy football start/sit advice Week 7: 49ers vs. Titans
The Tennessee Titans are short on viable fantasy options heading into a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

49ers
Start: Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Colin Kaepernick
Davis was a matchup nightmare last week, as the Arizona Cardinals prioritized wide receiver Anquan Boldin. Colin Kaepernick is getting more and more comfortable throwing to Davis and the Titans will struggle to cover him. If they do anything but put a cornerback on Davis, he'll have a big day.
Frank Gore has been very good this year, contributing to one of the top rushing attacks in the NFL. He’ll be all systems go in this one and it’s hard to imagine him having a bad one against Tennessee’s iffy defensive front. Kaepernick is a must-start, especially as he’s looking more and more comfortable these days.
Sit/Deep Start: Anquan Boldin
Boldin is a great player, and San Francisco’s top receiver, but the Titans have one of the better pass defenses in the league and thus far this season, those are the kinds of matchups Boldin has lost. Sure, he made the Green Bay secondary look pathetic, but he has been shut dowfn this season and he’s not a smart bet unless he’s your WR3 in a deep league.
Titans
Deep Start: Kendall Wright. Chris Johnson
It’s hard to recommend very many offensive players on Tennessee. The health of Jake Locker is a mystery, and the rest of the players have been struggling. However, Kendall Wright could be a sleeper pick this week. He started to show some things with Fitzpatrick at quarterback, so this is more a “if you don’t have anyone else ...” kind of start.
Johnson has looked outright bad this season. He hasn’t scored a touchdown, he’s barely averaging over three yards per carry and he’s just ... been bad. There’s no other way to say it. But he will get a ton of touches due to Locker’s injury, and that fact is the nicest thing we can say. If you drafted him, you probably took him early and you’re stuck with him anyway.
Sit: Jake Locker
The 49ers have one of the better pass defenses in the league. Whether that’s because they cause a lot of pressure or because their cornerbacks are consistently underrated is anybody’s guess. But Locker is not going to be 100 percent by any means in this game. He will likely be stationary and it’s hard to imagine him breaking out for a huge game. He’s not a smart option until we see him look healthy.
