The San Diego Chargers are hoping to advance beyond .500 on Sunday, as they take on the winless Jacksonville Jaguars. The Chargers have been a solid team in regards to fantasy football all season, while the Jaguars have been ... less so. We'll take a look at who you should start and who you should sit on these teams for Week 7 below:
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 7: Chargers vs. Jaguars
The San Diego Chargers have plenty of fantasy options in Week 7. The Jacksonville Jaguars? Not so much...

Chargers
Start: Philip Rivers, Keenan Allen, Antonio Gates
Rivers has been one of the top quarterbacks this season. He’s led San Diego to the No. 5 passing offense in the league at 297.2 passing yards per game on average, and has thrown for 1,847 yards with a 14 touchdowns against five interceptions. He’s looked great, and should continue that against the Jaguars, despite their No. 14 ranked pass defense.
Allen has been established as Rivers' top target in recent weeks. He caught nine passes for 107 yards and a touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts, and six passes for 115 yards and a touchdown against the Oakland Raiders. The only reason we hesitated to recommend starting Gates is the fact that Allen is taking all the catches.
Deep Start: Ryan Matthews
Matthews has been a disappointment thus far this season, but this could be the game the Chargers really get him to succeed. Jacksonville has a decent pass defense, but the worst rush defense in the NFL. Matthews may find the end zone a couple times this time around.
Jaguars
Start: Justin Blackmon
He may be banged up, but Blackmon will play thanks to an injury to Cecil Shorts. The Jaguars don’t have much going for them, but Blackmon has more yards in the past two games -- his only two games this season thanks to a four-game suspension -- than any other receiver in the NFL. Blackmon will be targeted early and often, and he’ll get his catches and maybe even a touchdown, even if the Jaguars are likely to hit 0-7 this week.
Sit: Everybody Else
Maurice Jones-Drew has been a shell of his former self this season. He looks injured and slow, and only has 279 yards off of 94 carries, good for 3.0 yards per rush. The Jaguars, of course, have terrible run blocking, but Jones-Drew doesn't look like he's going to break out any time soon. Fantasy owners may need to move on. Chad Henne is obviously not a good option and Cecil Shorts is out with an injury.
