Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts will play on Sunday against the Chargers, according to San Diego Union Tribune's Michael Gehlken.
Cecil Shorts active on Sunday for Jaguars, makes for a risky fantasy start
The Jaguars will reinsert Cecil Shorts back into the lineup, but the capacity to which he will play is unknown. We break down the fantasy implications.

Shorts was limited in practice all week due to a sprained shoulder, which also forced him to an early exit last week against the Broncos. Reports also surfaced of Shorts saying during the week that the pain was so bad that he had difficulty sleeping. It is unknown to what capacity Shorts will play, but that he will take the field soon after suggests that there isn't necessarily danger of making the injury more severe, and that it is more a matter of pain tolerance.
Fantasy Spin: Shorts has a great matchup with the Chargers, who are giving up an average of 273 yards through the air this season, and there's no question that a fully healthy Shorts could capitalize. However, therein lies the problem. Shorts' capacity is unknown despite being well enough to take the field, and it's possible that he could be used mostly as a decoy in a similar fashion that a hobbled Roddy White was earlier in the season. His potential to make a big splash play is always present, but makes for no more than a boom-or-bust flex play this week for owners struggling for wide receiver depth.
