Harry Douglas has huge first half for Falcons, fantasy owners
With the Falcons’ top two receivers hurt, Douglas already has his career-best receiving yards through one half. We break down the fantasy implications.

With the team's top two options are wide receiver hurt, the Atlanta Falcons really needed Harry Douglas to step up. Through one half Sunday, he has done so in a huge way. Douglas had six catches for 140 yards and a touchdown in the first half Sunday as the Falcons lead the Buccaneers 24-10 at halftime.
Douglas’ score came on a 37-yard pass from Matt Ryan late in the second quarter. He also has receptions of 26 and 54 yards in the game.
Fantasy impact: This is only the second 100-yard receiving game of Douglas' career, with the first coming in November of 2011, when he caught eight passes for 133 yards against the Saints. He was held scoreless in that game, so Sunday's performance is far and away the best game of the receiver's career, even through only one half.
It's also far more than even the most optimistic Douglas supporter could reasonably have expected. With Roddy White and Steven Jackson back from injury soon (or eventually), and defenses realizing that Douglas has this level of performance in his repertoire, it's hard to imagine he can repeat these numbers. That said, this was good to see, and it's possible Douglas may yet emerge as a reasonable Julio Jones replacement.
