Bears running back Matt Forte gave his fantasy owners his best performance of the season on Sunday versus the Redskins.
Matt Forte breaks out for 3 touchdowns to the approval of his fantasy owners
Matt Forte was automatic for the Bears when they had goal-to-go situations on Sunday versus the Redskins. We break down the fantasy implications.

Despite only having 9 rushing yards at the half, Forte finished the day with 91 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. Though he was mostly bottled up throughout the game, Forte padded his yardage total with a 50-yard scamper that resulted in a touchdown, and otherwise benefited from getting goal-line carries after backup quarterback Josh McCown moved the ball downfield with ease. Forte also chipped in with two catches for 18 yards on the Bears' final drive of the game.
Fantasy Spin: It was just another day at the office for Forte, who continues to thrive in Marc Trestman's offense, which is tailor-made for him. The Bears have a Week 8 bye, but if Jay Cutler is potentially out of action for weeks afterward, Forte may benefit from extra targets in a more conservative game plan. And if Josh McCown were to not provide a dropoff from Cutler, the versatile running back should then be in a position to capitalize on scoring situations as he demonstrated he could do on Sunday. When the Bears resume action versus the Packers in Week 9, Forte will be a must-start.
