Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle had his best yardage game Sunday, with 19 rushes for 65 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles. Backup Phillip Tanner had the team's rushing touchdown, though, as the Cowboys beat the Eagles 17-3.
Joseph Randle can’t break free for Cowboys, fantasy owners
The Cowboys running back was mediocre Sunday, playing for normal starter DeMarco Murray. We break down the fantasy implications.

The rookie Randle's first career touches came a week ago, against the Washington Redskins, when he ran the ball 11 times for 17 yards and a touchdown in relief of starter DeMarco Murray, who left that game -- and missed Sunday's -- with a sprained MCL in his left knee. Tanner, meanwhile, had only two rushes for one total yard, but that yard was a touchdown, a third-quarter score that put Dallas ahead 10-0.
Fantasy impact: As long as Murray is sidelined, Randle's value should remain at least middling, for the "there's not much else there" factor, if nothing else. Lance Dunbar, also out with an injury Sunday, could see a boost upon his return as well, but the job appears to be Randle's until Murray is back.
In the long run, though, Randle will remain behind Murray in the depth chart, barring something major changing between now and that return. Randle is a flex RB at best now, and won’t even be that later.
