New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith accounted for the team's two offensive touchdowns Sunday -- one on the ground and one through the air -- as the Jets beat the upset the New England Patriots 30-27 in overtime. Smith threw for 233 yards on 17-of-33 passing and was intercepted once.
Geno Smith scores through the air, on the ground for fantasy owners
The Jets quarterback led the team to an upset victory. We break down the fantasy implications.

Smith ran the ball six times for 32 yards, including an eight-yard score in the third quarter that put the Jets ahead 24-21. He also had a first-quarter 12-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Kerley that started the game's scoring.
Fantasy impact: It was nice for the Jets to beat the division rival, but, with one defensive score and three field goals, this was a bigger real-life game than it was for fantasy. Smith had only a 71.9 passer rating, and his 233 passing yards were only his fourth-best total of the season.
The Jets’ next two games come against Cincinnati and New Orleans before the team’s Week 10 bye, and those two defenses are stout enough that Smith shouldn’t be considered much of a fantasy option for the next few weeks.
