The Buccaneers running back was not able to break through for a touchdown in Week 7against the Falcons and he also got hurt. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Thankfully for Martin’s fantasy owners, X-rays on his shoulders came back negative. However, there is currently no timetable for his return and he was unable to return to the game against the Falcons.
Martin's production this season has to be a disappointment for his owners, as he was probably a top-five pick in most if not all fantasy leagues. Last year with Josh Freeman at quarterback, Martin consistently rushed for a ton of yardage and was able to catch a fair amount of passes out of the backfield.
He still gets a ton of touches now, but it seems that defenses have figured him out in his sophomore season to some extent. Should Martin not be able to play in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers, teammate Mike James would be his replacement.
The bad news here is that the Buccaneers take on Carolina in the Thursday night game, meaning that Martin has less than a week to prove he is healthy if he is to play in the contest.
