Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith caught three passes for 61 yards in a 19-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7. Smith has now gone three straight games without a touchdown.
Torrey Smith silenced in tough fantasy matchup
The Ravens wide receiver was blanketed by a tough Steelers defense in Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: After six games last year, Smith already had four touchdown catches compared to the one score he has so far this season. That has to be disappointing for his fantasy owners, especially in light of the fact Anquan Boldin was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the offseason, leaving Smith to be the Ravens' number one receiver.
Smith’s numbers would’ve been even lower had he not caught a 41-yard pass in the game that padded his statistics. He wasn’t able to break free from coverage enough for quarterback Joe Flacco’s liking, as Flacco only targeted Smith six times in the game
That said, Smith was averaging just over 94 yards per game coming into the contest against the Steelers and is still the team’s best receiver. He is normally targeted more often and is fairly consistent.
The Ravens have a bye week in Week 8 before they take on the Cleveland Browns in Week 9.
