San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore didn't break 100 yards, and his average wasn't so great, but he managed to move the chains against the Tennessee Titans, and had a couple touchdowns in San Francisco's 31-17 victory on Sunday.
Frank Gore scores twice against Titans for solid fantasy performance
Frank Gore had 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.

Gore carried the ball 24 times, which is more than quarterback Colin Kaepernick had in pass attempts (21). He ended up with 70 yards, leading the team, but with a per-carry average of 2.9 yards. Still, he was used an awful lot in short-yardage situations, and picked up the hard first downs when the team needed them.
The two touchdowns he managed didn’t hurt, either. Gore found the endzone in the second and third quarters, both times on a 1-yard rush. It’s not always about picking up the big yardage, by any means. Fantasy owners will take a pair of touchdowns all day.
Fantasy Impact: Gore continues to be a productive running back in fantasy. Even when he’s only used a certain way, or when the team seriously commits to stopping him as the Titans did, Gore manages to find a way to be productive. Fantasy owners have to be pleased, regardless of the per-carry average.
