Doug Martin reportedly out with torn labrum, fantasy impact would be huge

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin suffered "what's believed to be" a torn labrum in his shoulder, according to a report from Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. There's been a lot of conflicting information regarding Martin and his injury, with the running back saying he did not separate his shoulder and that the X-rays taken after Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons looked "fine."
Martin was hit by Falcons safety William Moore while trying to catch a pass in the third quarter of the Week 7 matchup. Martin left the game and did not return. He was to undergo further evaluation Monday, though it is unclear if Garofolo's report is the result of said evaluation.
Tampa Bay is on a short week this week, as they'll take on the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Obviously, even with the lack of information, Martin does not seem likely for that matchup at all. Whether or not he's truly gone for an extended amount of time remains to be confirmed, however.
Fantasy Impact: Martin hasn’t had a huge year thus far, but then again, the Buccaneers have been a pretty bad team. He’s carried the ball 127 times for 456 yards and a touchdown. He’s on pace for significantly fewer yards than his rookie season in which he had 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns, but there was always hope he could turn the season around. For fantasy owners, losing Martin would be huge, as he was drafted relatively early this season.
