New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs is officially inactive for Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings. The Giants decided to shut him down after pregame warmups.
Brandon Jacobs inactive for Monday night, pull from fantasy lineups
Brandon Jacobs has a hamstring injury and won’t play in Monday night’s game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jacobs suffered a hamstring injury in last week's loss to the Chicago Bears. He was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but was held out on Saturday. Signed off the street before Week 2, Jacobs took over as the starter when David Wilson went down with a neck injury. He had a surprising performance against the Bears, rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns on two carries.
Fantasy impact: With Jacobs out, the Giants are down to Peyton Hillis and Michael Cox, one of whom was just signed this week. Neither player is an appealing fantasy play. Look for the Giants to go with a pass-heavy attack against a Vikings defense missing Harrison Smith. Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks are the only players I can confidently recommend starting.
