Redskins tight end Jordan Reed was diagnosed with a hip pointer injury on Monday, but coach Mike Shanahan said thathe's fine.
Jordan Reed is fine from hip pointer, remains hot fantasy pickup
Jordan Reed (hip) is ready to go for Week 8. We break down the fantasy implications.

Reed was terrific on Sunday, catching all nine of his targets for 134 yards and a score in a win over the Bears. This was his second good game in a row after a four-catch game in Week 6. He's also not your usual tight end and he's had a catch of at least 25 yards in both of those games.
He's taken the main tight end job and run with it with Fred Davis falling by the wayside. Davis has just three catches on the year and he's been inactive for his ankle injury. Of course, Davis probably won't have his job back upon his return.
Fantasy impact: Reed is a red-hot pickup for owners that need a tight end. The Redskins don't have much in the receiving department, so Reed has a tremendous opportunity. Plus, Pierre Garcon isn't much of a red-zone threat. He should be viewed as a low-end TE until things die down and he already had his bye week.
