Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday, according to a report by Lions senior writer Tim Twentyman. Johnson played through the injury last week caught nine passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
Calvin Johnson misses practice, still expected to be in top fantasy form
The Lions’ top wide receiver took a day to rest and missed practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: It would come as a shock if Johnson was unable to play in the team's Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys. He looked to be in top form in Week 7, as one of his touchdowns came in triple coverage and is one of the plays of the year.
All in all, Johnson has been pretty healthy throughout his entire NFL career, and although he may take the rest day or two throughout the season, it shouldn’t be a problem for him to play regularly. That’s not only true because he’s one of the best receivers in the game, but also because the Lions need him with injuries to other players changing the dynamics of the team.
The Cowboys only rank in the middle of the pack when it comes to giving up fantasy points to receivers this year, and it seems when these two teams play, they put up a lot of points on the board. With all that in mind, there is no reason for concern here unless Johnson misses practice later in the week, which would be a big surprise. Fantasy owners should start him as they normally would.
