New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) is not expected to play in the team's Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a report by the New York Post's Brian Costello. ESPN's Matt Ehalt says Holmes did some stretching with the team on Wednesday, but is still riding the bike on the sidelines when the team goes through drills.
Santonio Holmes on the field at practice, not expected back for Week 8
The Jets wide receiver is getting closer but is unlikely to play against the Bengals. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Holmes hasn't played since getting hurt against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4. Although it's unfortunate for his fantasy owners that he's on the sidelines, all signs point to the Jets going with Jeremy Kerley and Stephen Hill for the immediate future.
There’s also a chance that the Jets will play it safe and not bring back their No. 1 receiver until right after the team’s Week 10 bye.
Hamstring injuries can be really tricky to get over, so fantasy owners should stay posted to updated reports to see if Holmes makes progress before Sunday. Kerley would be a great pickup in Holmes’ place if he’s available in your league.
