Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Tim Wright saw his role in the team's offense ramp up gradually over the team's first five games, culminating in seven receptions on nine targets for 91 yards in Week 6 against the Eagles. As the rookie started getting some talk as a fantasy option, his numbers fell off in Week 7 against the Falcons, where he caught two of his three targets for only 15 yards. The tight end will look to jump back up Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8 TNF: Tim Wright
Can the Bucs tight end recapture the big performance he had in Week 6? We break down the fantasy implications.

Overall, Wright has 153 yards on 15 targets on the season. Most of those numbers have come in recent games, and he had no targets in either of the team's first two games with only had one catch for six yards in Week 3. It wasn't until Week 4, when rookie quarterback Mike Glennon took over as the starter, that Wright started seeing more involvement.
Fantasy impact: With several useful tight ends on a bye this week, Wright’s name has been floated as a starter, especially considering his jump in production when Glennon got the starting job. However, he has only had one truly useful fantasy outing, and Atlanta shut him down pretty easily Sunday. Facing a tough Carolina defense Thursday night, Wright might see some production, but the only fantasy players who should use him should be the ones that don’t have a choice.
