New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola practiced Thursday for the second straight day, according to ESPN Boston writer Field Yates. Assuming the first-year Patriot passes his final concussion test, it looks like he could play Sunday when the Patriots play a 1 p.m. game against the Miami Dolphins.
Danny Amendola practices again, could be fantasy relevant Sunday
The wide receiver has now practiced on consecutive days, making it more likely he could play this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Amendola has only appeared in three of the Patriots' seven games this season, with injuries limiting his performance. After a ten-catch, 104-yard performance in his New England debut in Week 1, Amendola returned in Week 5, but was a limited participant, catching only four of his nine targets for 55 yards. He played in Week 6 against the Saints, but only caught two passes for zero net yards before his injury, which also forced him to miss the team's game against the Jets last week.
Fantasy impact: When healthy, Amendola is a no-question WR2, possibly even verging into WR1 territory considering the lack of other top options the Patriots have had this season. Of course, that “when healthy” is a crucial phrase, as Amendola has battled injury his entire career.
It’s helpful that the game Sunday is a 1 p.m. outing, as a last-minute scratch of Amendola leaves fantasy owners with enough time to change plans. If he is active, he is likely a must-start on most rosters, though anyone that uses him has to be aware that there is never a guarantee that Amendola finishes games he starts.
