After missing Week 7 with a knee injury, Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray appears likely to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions, according to ESPN Dallas reporter Calvin Watkins. Murray's return could spell diminished playing time for the team's other running backs -- Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, and Philip Tanner.

The Cowboys running back looks like he’s going to return to action. We break down the fantasy implications.

Murray has 428 rushing yards and 162 receiving yards through six games this season, including 203 all-purpose yards in the team's Week 3 victory over the St. Louis Rams. He also has three touchdowns on the season. With him on the sidelines in Week 7, Randle got the majority of the team's running touches, rushing the ball 19 times for 65 yards, while Tanner got the team's rushing touchdown.
Fantasy impact: This one is fairly easy -- if Murray plays Sunday for the Cowboys, he plays Sunday for fantasy owners. There is a little concern that Murray could be quite limited, but fantasy owners have to move ahead as though he’s a full go.
It is the opposite for Randle (and the others) -- if Murray plays, they don’t. Week 7’s game aside, no running back on the team has more than 11 carries. When Murray is the guy, Murray is THE guy.
