Dwayne Bowe pops up on Chiefs injury report, fantasy owners can keep him benched
Dwayne Bowe’s season takes another hit with a groin injury sustained during practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bowe was not hampered by this earlier in the week, and as a result, his status for Sunday warrants monitoring during the preceding days. Bowe was the consensus choice in preseason to lead the team in receiving but has instead struggled to produce in the team's dink-and-dunk passing offense. As a result, Donnie Avery and Jamaal Charles both have more receiving yards.
Fantasy Spin: With an offense that struggles to get the ball downfield with consistency, Bowe doesn’t have much of a chance to put up gaudy receiving numbers. This isn’t exactly news to fantasy owners, as Bowe is now two-years removed from his last 1,000-yard season and part of an offense with a conservative approach.
Should he play, Bowe is likely to draw the attention of the Browns' Joe Haden, and it's a battle that any receiver would struggle to win consistently. Throw in the fact that Bowe would enter the game at less than 100 percent, and you have a formula for a dismal fantasy output. Even during a heavy bye week, fantasy owners can find better options at receiver.
