Mike Williams active for Buccaneers, but would be risky start for fantasy owners
The Buccaneers’ passing attack will get a boost with wide receiver Mike Williams in action Thursday night versus the Panthers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Williams sustained a hamstring injury that kept him out of the team's Week 6 game against the Eagles, but he returned on Sunday to contribute in the receiving game against the Falcons. In that contest, Williams caught a modest four passes for 32 yards. Despite the low totals and the recent injury, Williams was hardly limited, playing in 76-of-86 snaps.
Fantasy Spin: New quarterback Mike Glennon has picked a clear favorite receiver, and unfortunately for Williams' fantasy owners, it happens to be Vincent Jackson. Jackson was targeted 14 times in the game Williams missed, and a whopping 22 times on Sunday versus the Falcons.
That leaves Williams as the odd man out, and it never bodes well for a receiver to have limited chances to capitalize amid an offense that has been unspectacular in recent weeks. At less than full health versus a stout Panthers defense, owners would be wise to consider other options besides Williams at the wide receiver position this week.
