Bills running back C.J. Spiller is no stranger to the injury report this season and although he has been playing through an ankle injury, his status is in serious doubt for Sunday.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: C.J. Spiller
The Bills and fantasy owners alike have seen a scarcity of production from C.J. Spiller. Is there a rebound in store for him? We break down the fantasy implications.

Since tweaking his ankle versus the Ravens in Week 4, Spiller has been severely limited. Last week's matchup with the Dolphins showed that he isn't progressing. If anything, the opposite is the case, as Spiller saw the field for just 14 snaps while Fred Jackson and Tashard Choice carried most of the workload.
Fantasy Spin: Spiller has since proclaimed that his ankle feels “10 times better,“ but a report by Joe Buscaglia of WCG550 states that Spiller’s odds of playing this week are “extremely slim.” With Spiller failing to see much playing time in recent weeks, a week of rest would serve him well. With the Bills bye week not slated until Week 12, Doug Marrone and company may see it fit to give him sooner rest and a chance for his explosive back to reclaim his 2012 form.
It’s that very form which prompted fantasy owners to select Spiller in the first round, and if there’s a measure to be taken that could get him back to that, fantasy owners should welcome it. In the meantime, Spiller should be relegated to benches around fantasy leagues until he can cut into Jackson’s and Choice’s snaps. The fact that Spiller should be benched during a juicy matchup with the Saints run defense is a tough pill to swallow, but one that must be.
