The Arizona Cardinals drafted running back Andre Ellington in the 2013 NFL Draft intending to use him as a mere change-of-pace guy behind Rashard Mendenhall. However, Ellington has proven that he may be the most talented back on the roster. He's been steadily seeing more playing time and making the most of it, piling up 369 yards from scrimmage on just 48 touches.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Andre Ellington
Will Andre Ellington finally get more snaps with Rashard Mendenhall a question mark this week?

That said, the Cardinals seem intent on keeping him in a timeshare, refusing to let him see more than 30-35 snaps a game. That may end this week, though, with Mendenhall possibly questionable for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Fantasy impact: If Mendenhall is able to play, that keeps Ellington's ceiling limited since the Cardinals won't hand him the full-time job no matter how ineffective Mendenhall is playing. Despite his limited usage, he's been a good bet for 70-80 total yards a week and should bounce back nicely after being shut down by the Seattle Seahawks in Week 7. Until he earns more playing time, though, he won't be much more than a flex play for the time being.
