With an early-season suspension, swirling trade rumors and ongoing quarterback issues in Cleveland, saying it's been an eventful season for wide receiver Josh Gordon would be an understatement.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Josh Gordon
Josh Gordon’s fantasy owners have every reason to be concerned with Jason Campbell starting Week 8 versus the Chiefs. We break down the fantasy implications.

Entering Week 8, the Browns are now turning to their third quarterback of the season, Jason Campbell, who is getting the nod after an abysmal performance by Brandon Weeden. Unfortunately, there isn't much reason to reserve hope for better quarterback play.
Campbell last started a game in 2012 while with the Bears, and completed 14-of-22 passes for 107 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. Campbell was also sacked six times, and did nothing to dispel criticisms of a long windup, lazy footwork and a tendency to hold the ball for too long.
Fantasy Spin: This, of course, does not bode well for any fantasy outlook regarding Gordon. Granted, Campbell's most recent performance came versus a swarming 49ers defense, but the Chiefs defense in 2013 is every bit as punishing. On the season, the Chiefs lead the NFL with 35 sacks, trail only the Bills and Seahawks with 10 interceptions and are allowing a miniscule average of 195 passing yards per game.
However, there are several cases of wide receivers thriving with bad quarterback situations around the league. Vincent Jackson, Justin Blackmon and Cecil Shorts are a few examples of this, as is Gordon himself thus far. Because of that, it's premature to doom Gordon's value going forward, but as far as Week 8 is concerned, consider him a boom-or-bust WR3 during a week that's laden with byes and injuries.
