Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard has been an instant contributor for the team in his rookie year. Despite splitting carries with BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Bernard has provided plenty of fantasy value on his own. Through seven games, he piled up 497 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns on 92 touches.
Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 8: Giovani Bernard
The rookie has been a standout for the Bengals so far, but has a tough schedule coming up.

Bernard started the season as a pure backup to Green-Ellis, but has since then earned more touches than his veteran counterpart. Bernard is a valuable asset in Cincinnati’s passing game and has done most of his damage after the catch, breaking ankles with his shifty running style.
Fantasy impact: The Bengals haven't given any indication that they'll give up the two-headed committee in the backfield, but Bernard is clearly a big part of their gameplan now. He has maintained consistent RB2 production and has even more value in PPR leagues. The big concern going forward is his schedule. He faces the Jets, Dolphins and Ravens over the next three weeks, all tough fantasy matchups. Still, the rookie is on a hot streak, aside from a down Week 7, and should be a solid flex play for the rest of the season.
