Fantasy football projections, Week 8: Cowboys vs. Lions featuring Tony Romo, Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson
We break down the Week 8 matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.

Dallas Cowboys
Running back DeMarco Murray (MCL Sprain) practiced on both Wednesday and Thursday and it seems he will try to play against the Lions, meaning Joseph Randle will probably take a familiar position as Murray's backup on Sunday. Regardless of whether he plays or not, the Cowboys' top fantasy producers will most likely be quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant.
When these two teams last played, back in 2011, Romo only managed to connect with Bryant on three passes. However, two of those passes went for touchdowns. So far this season, the two have connected for scores six times.
Detroit Lions
Calvin Johnson looked like his old self in a Week 7 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, catching nine passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns in the game. The yardage total represents a season high for Johnson, and the pair of scores matched his high for the season. That's good news especially considering he did it against one of the better secondaries in the NFL.
A good day for Johnson usually means a good day for quarterback Matthew Stafford. Against the Bengals, Stafford threw for three touchdowns to go with 357 passing yards. His 51 pass attempts was a season high. Stafford's air show will probably continue against the Cowboys, even though they also have an above average secondary. On the ground they will rely on running back Reggie Bush, but make no mistake, the matchup with the Cowboys is probably going to be of the run and gun variety.
