Fantasy football projections, Week 8: Steelers vs. Raiders featuring Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Terrelle Pryor

The Week 8 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Oakland Raiders features two teams with losing records still holding out hope for a turnaround. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

After starting the season going 0-4 for the first time in decades, the Steelers have reeled off two wins in a row. In both of those wins, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was able to throw a touchdown and avoid turning the ball over. He's never been the kind of passer that ranks at the top of fantasy drafts, but he does provide some hidden value this year as a spot starter, especially while the team is having success and winning games.

Though it looked like running back Le'Veon Bell would supercharge the Steelers running game, he's been held in check by tough defenses in the last two weeks and the team is still heavily relying on wide receiver Antonio Brown to move the ball down the field. Though his 7.5 yards per catch over the last two weeks is less than impressive, Brown does have 18 receptions combined in those games, giving him plenty of value in leagues that reward receptions.

After signing Matt Flynn to be the team's quarterback in the off-season, the Oakland Raider saw former college star Terrelle Pryor steal away the role of starting quarterback. Though Pryor is still learning the NFL game, he has an element of mobility and athleticism to him that is making his struggles a bit easier to go through. He is able to find open receivers when the opportunities are there and has made himself a fantasy worthy play in deeper leagues. That speaks volumes when you consider Pryor wasn't even on the fantasy radar up until the opening week of the season.

Luckily for Pryor, it looks like he'll have his number one running back Darren McFadden at full speed for the second game in a row. McFadden, like any other year, has struggled with injuries again this season. Though he has only gone above 52 yards rushing one time this season, he managed to catch passes out of the backfield last week against the Kansas City Chiefs and still put together a bit of fantasy value. He'll face a tall order trying to penetrate the Steelers defense, but coach Dennis Allen said he looked explosive in practice this week, so he should be ready to go.
