Green Bay Packers James Jones is doubtful Week 8 against the Vikings. A knee injury kept him out of practice all week and he doesn't have a timetable to return. He is not expected to play on Sunday Night Football.
James Jones injury update: ‘Doubtful’ status opens up fantasy possibilities for Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin
James Jones isn’t likely to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Jones suffered a ligament sprain back in Week 6 and missed Week 7’s action. There is no rupture in his knee, but he was ruled out of action. Although, his knee injury didn’t look good and being doubtful this week, is actually a downgrade from being questionable last week.
The Packers are really thin at receiver. They won't have Randall Cobb (leg) and Jermichael Finley (spine), so they're going to have to rely heavily on Jordy Nelson and Jarrett Boykin. Both players had positive outings in Week 7 and they'll get a Vikings secondary that can't cover anyone down the field. The Vikings rank 29th in passing yards allowed and they're going to be without in their best guy in the secondary, Harrison Smith.
Fantasy impact: Jones owners have to stick with him, but he belongs firmly on the bench for the late start. Jordy Nelson is a must-start guy while Boykin is more of a WR3.
